BoBo

A funny thing happened at work today.
According to Mr knowitall, google; humour is the tendency of a particular cognitive experiences to provoke laughter and provide amusement. The term derives from the humoral medicine of the ancient Greeks, which taught that the balance of fluids in the human body, known as humours (Latin: humor, "body fluid"), control human health and emotion.

"A cigar may just be a cigar, but a joke is never just a joke." - Sigmund Freud, who also said we use jokes to deal with our anxieties and issues.

BoBo used to be known as Greg. Born into a cycling family that would make anyone laugh, Greg developed into a ratbag of great distinction and renown. People everywhere would burst into laughter when ever young Gregory would appear. Always a practical joker, Greg showed no fear on the bike nor was he afraid about making fun of anyone and everything which often got him into trouble with other bike riders and the commissaries who have never shown even the tiniest ounce of humour, ever.
Today was no exception and even after knowing BoBo for more than 30 years he can still make me laugh and forget all my anxieties and issues in a instant. He doesn't look like a comedian and many people begin to cry at first sight of him in daylight, which is very understandable.

Greg, I mean BoBo, visited the velodrome today and as soon as he saw someone, he began whinging and whining as is his want. Truly carrying on like a pork chop about everyone and anything. He was there to paint a wall which he did eventually got around to, but he needs to come back tomorrow and probably will be at the track for the rest of week (its a large wall), which means it will be one of those weeks.
I tried all day to get a portrait of him but he never stood still and just wouldn't cooperate at all, the bugger. Eventually I told him to stand still so I could take a shot. He kept whinging and whining and moving but I managed to get three or four quick shots in about 5 seconds before he was off again.

Please press L on your key board for the large view.
I have found that it is difficult to hold the camera steady when in a fit of laughter.

Another shot of Greg, and yet another.

It wasn't just BoBo and me carrying on like idiots all day, one of the worlds very best and most respected coaches joined in with our nonsense and mirth. Ian has a reputation of being a real hard man and never showing emotion or saying much at all. There are those who have never seen him smile. Here is proof that the legend is a myth.
