Intake 7

We had a family dog walk first thing at Brackletter and got a soaking. I had a bike ride during the afternoon predicted dry spell. I didn't feel very energetic and this route presents a couple of really steep section. I didn't fly up them but managed them fine for all that. The gradients are such that standing on the pedals, the natural inclination to put more down, puts weight forward and the back wheel spins fighting for traction on the loose gravel track. The return was easier.
This is the falls above Intake 7. I think they are by far the most impressive in Lochaber and yet remain rarely visited.

This photo shows one terrace in a series of steps where the water tumbles down about 70 metres vertically.
