Tomatoes

I like to grow a variety of tomatoes. Mrs D likes a cherry type with her dinner, but I'm more interested in the flavoursome larger varieties that cook well. The Sunstripe (plum type) and Super Marmande (beef type) both have a gorgeous flavour and texture. Those that I don't simply gorge on when harvesting have made some lovely dishes in the last few weeks and I'm freezing others ready for an autumn of chutney making. I probably shan't dry and this year as I still have loads from last year and all my jars are full so no room for pasatta. I always think that you can't grow too many tomatoes as there are so many ways to use them.
