Bardsea Beach

Wen met C&N and the grandchildren at Bardsea Beach where we had a sandwich lunch before a walk on the beach.  The tide was out a long way which made way for a huge sandy beach.  The children loved playing on it and running around.

From here to the stone circle at Birkrigg Common, nearby.  I had wondered whether they would be interested but they amused themselves running around the stones and in and out of the ferns which were taller than them.  Then to a playground in Ulverston which was a great find.  They really enjoyed that too.  Finally fish and chips from a shop in Ulverston which was first class.  They have gone back to the tent now and we are about to collapse on the sofa.  Exhausted but a very good day.
