The One Eyed Grin

Well, my bowl that was part turned decided to part company with the lathe this morning.
I can't say I was happy - but I think I have been able to repair the damage, although I will have to use a different method to fix it to the lathe.

So, instead of finishing the bowl I made this box. The  top is made from an offcut of Eucalyptus (from Chopper Girl's garden) with a Lilac (from my garden) handle and the box from a piece of Mahogany (a really dusty wood to turn). I elected to keep the 'character' of the lid.
