A Day In The Life

“Like potatoes, tomatoes, and corn, sunflowers didn’t originate in Europe. They were cultivated in North America as far back as 3000 BCE. They were originally developed for food, medicine, dye and oil. Later they were exported to the rest of the world by Spanish conquistadors in the 1500s.” (holidappy.com) • We planted several sunflowers in our garden not only because we like them but so do the birds and the bees. This one grows tall near the Scarlet runner beans, and was radiant in the afternoon sun • MrsP and I checked on our caterpillars this morning and counted ten this time, two more than yesterday! I’m not so sure they’re all swallowtails either. I must do more research! • Another sunny warm day with cooler weather on the way tomorrow. No complaints here :) • Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!
