Last Ditch Attempt

I thought holidays were for relaxing, but apparently not. It was a lovely evening for a barbecue nonetheless. When all was done, I caught the last of the light on a few agapanthus which are always stunning.

A two shot exposure blend in LR to cope with the dynamic range, but even so getting the balance right took a bit of fiddling. Thank goodness for sky selections and taking the inverse to lift the foreground. The falloff across the sky was quite dramatic. I finished with a color range selection to pick out the flowers and lighten them further. After all they were my initial motivation.
