Silly Saturday ...

... another kayaking collage.

We had talked about getting out for kayaking in the evening this past week but the night we wanted to go the weather was bad.  So today we packed everything up and went to Leaser Lake.  This is the first time we have been here to kayak.  We had come up here a couple of times for birding but weren't really impressed with that.  We're hoping the kayaking here is more impressive.

It took us a little under an hour to get here and we got a little later start than anticipated.  It was pretty hot by the time we arrived and got the kayak on the water.  But we still managed to have a great time.  There were all sorts of water craft on the lake ... from this woman on a paddle board wearing a Silly Saturday "bikini" shirt to some small engine boats.  

We saw lots of water wildlife ... pictured here are a green heron and an Eastern painted turtle.  The bottom left photo is of some young boys admiring the very small fish that their grandpa caught ... with their help! Too cute. 

On the way home we made a few stops for some shopping.  Costco was one of those stops as it's on that side of the valley.  

I spent time in the pool when we got home and then it was a relaxing night at home.
