Muted……

It has been a grey day with not a lot of colour in it. There are tinges of green in the Taylor River here at Riverside Park. Mid-morning I met up with a group of friends…..,all past women joggers/runners…. at the Raupo Cafe overlooking the river. It was lovely to see everyone. The water levels in the river are still dropping after the recent floods. However the arch-shaped “Crinoline Bridge” is still underwater. It was designed to be unbolted and deliberately submerged during floods. Otherwise it would end up on the beach at Rarangi! Alas there is rain falling tonight. It is hoped that it will be short-lived and not add to the destruction caused by the recent storm and extremely high rainfalls. Kia Kaha.,
