Rain!

It started raining at some point overnight. Going by Mr Perkins’ fur, it wasn’t very heavy at five clock this morning. By seven o’clock, it was chucking it down, and there was a swathe of lightning showing on my app for that mainly to the north and east; we could hear some of the rumbles. Twenty minutes later, the lightning tried to get nearer, but it didn’t get too close. The rain lessened, but didn’t stop till the afternoon.

It’s been more rain than I remember having all year. I haven’t been out to see whether it’s been absorbed by the soil or has run off into the drainage ditches.
