Journey into the unknown.

We walked up to the top of the mountain at the back of our chalet. We were not sure how far we would go because the weather forcast was for heavy rain. The rain held off and we reached the cable car just as it closed for lunch. Fortunately there was a restaurant nearby. We indulged with a cheese and ham toastie and a blueberry tart.
The cable car restarted after the lunch break so we rode down to the valley, just as the rain arrived. A good day. The picture is of two fellow travellers walking the track. I felt it showed up the greatness of the mountains around us.
Grateful today for some time alone with Suzy in the mountains. For a friendly family who ran the retaurant and for a short run round the lake at the top.....experiencing the impact of altitude on the lungs!
