Weighing In

We went to Gulargambone races today. They only have one meeting a year and the whole town turned out to attend.
The club qualified for Silly Saturday when it was discovered just before the first race that the scales didn’t work. Someone had to nip into town and borrow a set of of bathroom scales from “some old girl”. By all accounts they were somewhat less than accurate or consistent but hey ho…..
I got too many photos for extras so have put some on Flickr.
Our horse did not perform to requirements but apart from that it was a very pleasant day. We were more than compensated by the news that Hugh’s team won their rugby league grand final. Probably a first for this family. The attempt to get it out of his system by letting him play for a season has probably backfired!
