Flat sea

I got down to Charlestown early to beat the crowds. Saturday is ‘changeover day’ for the tourists so there’s a gap as they leave and before another wave arrives. The sea was flat and I loved the sky. There was supposed to be a cooling east wind but there wasn’t any wind here!

I’ve just read that millionaire Sunak is building a new swimming pool at one of his four homes. It will apparently cost him £13K a year to heat. When he was Chancellor he refused to remove VAT from heating bills. Now he’s promised to do that if he becomes PM. Well, it would save him quite a lot of money!
