Lapwing landing

The breeding season must be over, because the lapwings have started to appear on the Somerset Levels in greater numbers.  This is the female (you can tell because she has a shorter crest of feather than the male) and she's still in her summer plumage.

I've included an extra of a great white egret complete with a fish in mid air.  As this shot is quite similar to a previous blip I didn't want to go with it as my main, although I am rather pleased with the timing of the shot.
