Gasteren in Drenthe

After a rather quiet Saturday (bit of gardening and cooking) I went together with Peter to Drenthe, to the Gasterse Duinen (Gasteren Dunes, a small nature reserve) to capture the heather during the sunset.

But the heather wasn't that beautiful as what we'd hoped for. Not very purple, but more brown, dull. All because of the recent and ongoing drought I guess. On top of that the sun was blocked by clouds very often.
Luckily the Highlander cows in the area did play along. And they allowed me to capture an image I'm very happy with.

One photo is enough they say. And that's exactly what I got tonight.
