Grandpa's Photo Album

Mrs B has dug out my grandfather's album, one of many.  I found several photos of me from many years ago as he documented the progress of his grandchildren in various walks of life.  

Someone, perhaps I did, sent him a publicity photo of my First Solo flight in the Hawk in July 1977; you can tell from the slightly awkward stance that it was posed by  the photographer.  And I wasn't particularly interested in the publicity.

I don't know who wrote the newspaper article, but they would have been fed the information by the RAF's PR department in MOD.  Sigh!  Halcyon days!
