Lorry Detritus

I saw this lorry / trailer mudguard lying at the side of the motorway as I walked along the footpath this morning. I hope it didn’t hit anything on its way to the verge!!

I once had a narrow escape when one of these either fell off, or was thrown up by, a lorry in front of me on the M62…it ‘bounced’ a couple of times before I hit it, fortunately it was ‘down’ as I met it and it went under the car (made a dreadful racket) and I pulled over to the hard shoulder. Just some damage to the front spoiler of my car…but of course the lorry didn’t stop….
