Sammy the spider has been living in the bath for the last couple of days and I have been meaning to take him outside. But this morning Sammy had his own ideas - he had spun a thread from inside the bath over the side and was abseiling down towards the floor like an arachnoid Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise). I called Mr Flossmo.

Mr Flossmo volunteered to take Sammy outside. There was no other way than to detach the belay from the bath and carry Sammy still clinging on. Mr Flossmo deposited him in a shady part of the garden and Sammy toddled off. I expect he is, even now, spinning a good yarn about it all to his friends (Sammy that is, not Mr Flossmo).
