I'd taken to Tivoli's a weirdly cut top that I'd had three previous failed attempts at reconfiguring. Her help with the cutting and re-stitching should mean it works once I've washed it into shape. Great to have a calm morning before a short walk round a few more bits of Bedford then my bus home.

Bedford's fortes are bricks and lace (as in this sculpture) and campaigning for the rights of prisoners (the Howard League for Penal reform is named after John Howard of Bedford). Anti-aparthied campaigner, Trevor Huddleston, was also a local, which prompted Nelson Mandela to visit. I'm liking this town more and more.
