Gardening Again

After the rain the temperatures have dropped and working in the garden is a pleasurable activity.

The grass has grown quite a lot and the first job is to cut the ‘mixed species lawn’. The mower produces a lot of cuttings and needs to be emptied quite frequently.

However, I am pleased with the result. See extra.

Much of the weedy stuff under the trees has died back and will be raked up and removed.

Wild brambles have thrived and today's Blipfoto gives an impression of the fruit. Cutting the brambles and removing the roots makes no difference. They will return next year.

The original photo has been modified in an app called `Pencil Sketch’.

The work will continue tomorrow. The forecast is for several days of rain over the weekend and into next week.
