Jenny Brown's Point

The Tuesday group took me to Jenny Browns Point in Silverdale, a walk  with spectacular views.  This is the chimney from copper mining and smelting project in the late 1700s that has recently been excavated and restored. There is a lot of history in the area including  an unsuccessful attempt in the 1870s to build walls to try and reclaim land that got  quickly covered in the shifting sands and were exposed again  about 100 years later.
