BUTTER 'N EGGS

It's Flower Friday and I hope I have the right tag.  This is commonly called Butter and Eggs (Linaria vulgaris); a.k.a. Common Toadflax or Yellow Toadflax.

This plant is invasive to North America beings native to Europe, Siberia and Central Asia. It is now considered to be endemic as it is found just about everywhere in North America. This one was photographed during an idle moment between races while I was working at Road America.

I think it's kind of pretty and I have used this plant in my class; flowers are easy to dissect and serve as excellent examples of various flower parts.
