Walking the Cat

This afternoon, I visited my mother and her new carer M to see how they are getting on. It’s all good now, after a difficult first couple of days.
As we went for a walk, my mother‘s cat Lisa joined us. Lisa is an elderly lady, too - at least 17 years old - and she very obviously worries about my mother and follows her everywhere, whether it’s the bathroom or the road.

The extra shows a neighbour’s fence. The plot has been sold recently. It’s empty except for some furniture made from pallets, an old bathtub, and the newly painted peace signs on the makeshift gate. It’s an unusual way to introduce oneself in that predominantly bourgeois quarter.

In other news, today’s forecast promised rain all day, and disappointed again. The day stayed cloudy, but dry - and we‘ll be back to sunshine and 30 degrees C for next week.
