Anglesey: Porth Trwyn

The first of a series of backblips for this week when I've been away, with no wifi and little mobile signal. Being away from online options has been a blessing. I wouldn't like it all the time, but for this week it has definitely added to the restful qualities of this short trip away.
I've blipped scenes from here before, particularly last September.  This is the view across towards Holyhead from Porth Trwyn, a small bay with only a scattering of houses around it.
When Jack and Ruth were growing up, we had family holidays here every year, sharing a house and garden with two other families. The house wasn't large, but there was plenty of space in the garden for tents.
Now that J and R are parents themselves, they're keen to keep up the tradition. Jack booked the house for this week, on a whim, and I'm so grateful that he did. We all assembled today: Jack, Marianna and Frieda; Ruth, Josh, Eben and Luca; Jenny, Malcolm and one year old Euan (Jenny being one of the daughters in one of the other families we used to come on holiday with) and me. Absent friends from the other two families were remembered too, even though they couldn't join us.
