Flower Power

Tonight we attended the 60th birthday celebration for Auckland Joggers Club.  The theme was the 60s, with a prize for best dressed.  Some members did dress up, but the majority didn’t, hubby and I included.  It was a most enjoyable evening - bubbles and canapés on arrival, a floating buffet and wine served throughout. 

The floating buffet is rather interesting - a plate of each course and a plate of each accompaniment (e.g. salad, breads, etc.) containing enough to serve the table of ten is delivered to the table.  Much more elegant than jostling your way along a buffet laid out on a long table.  The food was delicious and beautifully presented.

The blip is a selection of photos from the evening.  The couple are an ex-President of the club and his wife and they didn’t win the prize, although I thought they looked rather splendid.
