Today's the day .......................... to sing

An inspiring day today at a Singing Workshop run by my choir - SongWave.

The new term starts on Tuesday so this was a 'taster' session for any possible new recruits.  It was also a chance for the regulars to catch up with each other and to have a look at the new songs we will be learning over the coming months in the lead up to the Christmas concerts.  There was a Bring and Share Lunch on offer - which, as is the way of these things, turned into a generous gourmet feast - but it was just wonderful to be back singing again.

The above is a bit of the music for just one of the pieces we sang.  It's a traditional Ukrainian New Year's carol which tells of a little swallow that flies into the home of a farmer and sings that the family will have a bountiful year.
