Apricot Dream

This morning I took my friend L, from her Winchester care home, back to Eastleigh to collect her new hearing aids. Originally they were supplied with replaceable batteries but that proved  too fiddly for her to manage so we asked for them  to be converted to  the recharging variety. Job done, and at  last she can hear properly again. Hurrah!
Then she treated me to coffee  and told me all about how, as a child, during WW2, she was evacuated from her home in SE London  to a village near  Hereford, and had to share a bed with an unrelated boy! She didn't  seem at all fazed by that, at the time, or now.

I looked around my  garden this afternoon, and was pleased to find  my Apricot Dream patio rose has produced a few flowers.
