Happy Birthday!

We celebrated C's birthday by hiring bicycles & cycling to Sluis. I haven't been on a proper bike for years. The arrogant professional cyclists was a pain & we had to dodge a cycle race between Damme & Sluis but we survived & it was fun! Will do it again.

Sluis was good. We had a Jantje of Sluis & (very strong) Sangria with poffertjies (C's new favourite) & bought a bottle Koninkijke Oranje Likeur commemorating the new King. Will try it next week.

We ended the day with dinner at Ter Polders. C had paling in cream sauce & I had sliptongetjies. Very nice - proper fish prepared without drowning it oil.

Weather was sunny, but the wind was cold.
