Lakes and Forest

When we first awoke it was 1°C in the camper van and there was a thick mist outside. We put the heating on and retreated back to bed and more sleep. By 9 o’clock the mist had gone and the sun beamed from from the same blue sky as yesterday. The grass, wet from the mist, (extra 1) shone in the morning sun. The water was absolutely flat (extra 3)
I took a brief swim; well, I waded out until it was a meter deep and dived in and under a couple of times. It wasn’t icy but it wasn’t warm either. It certainly woke me up!
By the time we’d had breakfast Livia and Roger were also awake and we sat around at he same table as yesterday, warm in the sunlight. Once they were ready we went on the walk we discovered last time we were here, along the esker between the two lakes. The pine trees here are so majestic. I took the main photo partly to show how small we humans are in such company. Later we found some patches of forest rich in bilberries and lingonberries and we all picked until we had several litres between us.
A final meal together, sitting in the sun once more (extra 2 - washing up), and then we went our separate ways home.
We took a minor detour so we passed through Bollstabruk, and took the chance to visit Lis, Paco & Nina, where we were presented with a large bag of apples from their tree. The phone pinged and it was Karin and Lonny saying “Please visit” so we drove another couple of kilometers and stopped for even more tea. We finally arrived home around midnight - what a full day that was!
