Another sunny day - autumn berries

We debated with ourselves whether or not to do some campaigning or not, and decided not too. Today it's sunny, tomorrow it isn't, so today we'll stay home, and put in some more election time when the clouds have gathered.
I cut the lower lawn so I could pick the last of the blackcurrants without wading through wet grass. Paused to finish my slightly disappointing William Gibson book (The Peripheral), and then out to pick bilberries.
There weren plenty of berries left but the leaves are turning red as autumn arrives. These leaves often get scooped up with the berries which makes the final cleaning a bit of a pain. The berries are also slightly squishy, overripe, so it may be the end of the bilberry picking for me. Bright red lingon berries are so numerous this year it was hard not to scoop them up with the bilberries, so that could be the new focus.
Heather was something of a rarity in these forests 35 years ago, now it is everywhere, and seen around the bilberries in my photo. Climate change?
