A place to rest awhile.

I have some new walking boots. My old ones came apart on a long walk in the Alps. Fortunately i made it back before the heel parted company fully with the boot.
To walk my new boits in, i went on a long walk across the local common, which was surprisingly mud free after the recent downpours. I plugged in my headphones and listened to some music and explored a different part of the common.
I came to this ridge from where it is possible to see across the river valley through the trees. A pair of horses were grazing in the distance. I sat on a convenient well placed bench and rested before continuing my walk.
Grateful for space, peace and music.
