I went food shopping in Belfast for the first time!

It was underwhelming. The Tesco near the Abbey Centre - which I used to go to every week - is absolutely massive and had a lot of variety which was particularly helpful for R as she's a vegan and it's hard for her to find food suitable for her. This Tesco is much smaller and didn't have some of R's favourite items. The walk there had a glorious morning glow which you can see in the photo. Since it was a Saturday morning it was quite calm too.

The electricity situation has become more complicated again. I plugged my laptop into a socket this morning and the power tripped. So it wasn't just the kettle! We'll just have to see how things go over the rest of the weekend and see how often that will happen.

We also bought a new kettle that doesn't (yet) trip the power. Hurrah! We picked it up in the Argos in Castle Court. We realised that the new flat really is in a peaceful area! Belfast gets very busy!

We walked by a very passive aggressive preacher. Apparently if you don't think about God 24/7 you're "wicked".

Hopefully things get fixed soon but at least we're beginning to feel more settled!
