Snake's head fritillary

Last year the local council planted hundreds of bulbs (daffodils and snake's head fritillaries) around the grass verges at the car park to the local Leechpool woods.
This year only about 7 plants have survived and are flowering again!
This is very sad, but all 7 are in one little spot on a raised grassy bank, making me wonder if the rest were simply planted in the wrong place with the wrong conditions.
It's a bit like life really, if you are 'planted 'in the right place you thrive and grow, the wrong place...........
I hope you like the blip, it's taken with the light behind - my favourite and once again is a bit of an experiment with bokeh, :-)
