East River bridges

I’m up early to head for the conference. I walk to 86th St to catch the 4 to Wall Street. It’s sunny and humid. There are school buses driving past and social cyclists ignoring traffic lights.

Across the river, I can see the Robert F Kennedy and Hell Gate bridges glinting in the sun.

The API Days conference is in a glittering commercial building. There are only a couple of hundred folk here and the sessions are of decidedly mixed quality. The snacks and the lunch are good, though.

Back in the Upper East Side, Donna has cooked a lovely dinner. Ben is there too, but Colette is absent again. It’s a wonderfully relaxing end to the day - culminating in another East River-side walk for the dog.
