Splashy

The amount of explosive energy required to heave a Mallard out of the water and into the air is clearly evident from the disturbance to the water and the amount of spray in the air.  

I don't find mallards the most exciting of subjects, although they are good to practice with as, while they move reasonably quickly, their flight trajectory is generally relatively easy to predict.
