Full Circle

After watching the start of the Queen’s journey to Edinburgh from Balmoral on TV, Elaine and l walked across Soldier’s Field at Roundhay Park and commented how eerily quiet it was for a Sunday.
We then realised there was no sport taking place as it is usually bustling with activity.
The municipal tennis courts were near empty, they looked rather lovely with the leaves from the false autumn strewn across them.
Tiny signs of the real autumn appearing.

We had a good city walk today, first to Chapel Allerton then on to Meanwood.
Really interesting for me as l had close relatives living in both areas as l grew up, so much had changed.
Our final destination was the Three Cottages Cafe at Meanwood Park.
Coffee and cake consumed we then caught a bus into Leeds city centre and then another bus to Elaine’s having gone full circle.
Without any planning, we arrived back just in time to see the Queen arrive at Hollywood House.
