Happy birthday Mummy hazelh!

We made a day trip to Hexham today to take Mummy hazelh out for a birthday lunch with my not-so-little sister and Colin (NSLS's partner). Mummy hazelh was very excited when she saw Mr hazelh and me in the restaurant. She had no idea that we would be there.

Earlier in the day we also surprised someone else - this time in the huge Tesco in Hexham. It was here that we bought the bouquet of flowers blipped, plus another smaller one for Katherina, who had invited us for coffee. Normally we would have used the self check-out at the supermarket but some supernatural force drove us to a cashier to pay for our purchases. The cashier was Katherina's daughter Ruby. We didn't even know that she has a part-time job at Tesco.

We chatted with Katherina, Andrew, and Ruby's sister Eve for a couple of hours before walking into town for lunch with my family.

After lunch we enjoyed the sunshine in the Sele. Then it was time to drive back north again.

Exercise today: small amount of walking (~8000 steps).
