Wound up in Wexford

Just for a change, one success in our Irish "moving plan".  About a week ago l spotted a property to rent on Daft.ie that sounded ideal for our needs and contacted the owner.  He had called back the next evening, taking me by surprise, but sounding very positive.  We arranged to meet him at the property today, and it's ideal for our needs.

F is preparing the paperwork, didn't want us to move in on 13th, but was happy to let us move in immediately!

After unpacking the car, we walked down the village street, called at a couple of shops, admired some large stone lions outside the little garden centre (only €9500 the pair), and then had a tasty meal at Paddy Burke's Bar and Restaurant.

Back at the apartment we unpacked the roof box (F having very kindly loaned us a small step ladder) made the bed using a duvet cover as a temporary sheet, as I didn't anticipate needing king size sheets when planning what to bring, and relaxed with a duty free gin whilst making a list of what we need to buy in the next few days.

By then I was shattered, so despite it only being about 9pm, l retired to bed.  Writing this the next morning, sitting in our new sitting room, drinking coffee, and relaxing.

The boundary problems at our potential purchase are ongoing - perhaps more about that tomorrow.
