Captain, my captain....

All the boys get a turn at being training captain in our team at some time during the season....it gives them a chance to develop some leadership skills....and me a chance to see if they shy or shine in the role.

It's interesting to see who really steps up to the challenge....a couple of the boys have developed real leadership qualities, impressive at 12 yrs. old.

I'm sure it will not only prove valuable to our team as we continue to progress but stand them in good stead as they make their way in the world....

Sam was one of my two 'training captains' this evening....a small reward for his four goal tally at a recent match.
