Davis Cup

Day 2 of the competition was GB v USA. Despite now being 3rd ranked GB player it was obvious Andy Murray was the man most people wanted to see.

Play started with the 2 singles matches. Dan Evans lost 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 to Tommy Paul in a very good match. Cameron Norrie didn't get off to the best start but by the end of the second set he took control to overcome Taylor Fritz 2-6, 7-6, 7-5.

At 10pm it was the turn of Andy Murray and Joe Salisbury in the doubles. Unfortunately, they lost out 5-7, 6-4, 7-5 to Rajeev Ram and Jack Sock in a match that didn't finish until almost 1am. Understandably the capacity crowd had almost halved by then but the atmosphere was still fantastic.

The time clock shows the extra was taken just before midnight.
