Anvil House Stairwell

The Photographic Society of New Zealand (PSNZ) Convention in the Town Hall in Wellington is incredibly interesting and very busy.
We have had some amazing overseas presenters. They are quite inspirational.
Then there are the workshops. I went to a very popular one this afternoon on city and urban architecture. Jim, the presenter, was very personable and knowledgable. We learned a lot.
We finished off that workshop by visiting Anvil House, just over the road from the Town Hall. Interior shots were the order of the day. Plus a chance to capture some images of the views from outside on the top floor in the howling northerly wind and light rain.
A number of us focussed on photographing the stairwell from the top floor. The building is a little retro having been built around the 1950s. It is the worse for wear in places but I love the patterns, tones, light and shadows in the stairwell.... hence my blip for the day!
