Hitching a Ride

A lot on today, gym, shopping etc  but coming home saw out of the window these common darters ovipositing on our pond. Then another pair appeared too! 

Poppy in la la land kept pottering past in front of the lens not responding to the hissed calls of, 'Come here!' or words to that effect. Many many words! 

What I am glad of in all this is that I would have pulled out of the pond the green algae/etc that you see here and put it on the side with the view that anything living would crawl out and back in. There are so many common darter eggs on the top of that which I can't see so no idea honestly so can't touch it.
