On the roof

For the first time this autumn it seemed very chilly in the flat this morning, and there was a certain reluctance to get out of bed! And then it took two cups of strong black coffee to get going.

A bitty day, sorting out lots of inconsequential little things. Also spent an hour or so in the 'yard this afternoon, re-planting some of the daffodil bulbs that the birds have uprooted recently.

MrM mentioned that he intended to concentrate on the work to improve the downstairs hall. But his new guitar arrived mid-morning, so it's not hard to guess what he actually did! Though, to be fair, he did a little work in the hall later in the day.

Every time I went into the spare room today and glanced out of the window, this little guy was on the roof opposite. He kept on marching back and forth stopping occasionally to look around, like a performer checking on the reaction of his audience.
