A magnolia …

….. for Diana, who’s funeral was today in Christchurch. Diana Stewart was one of the 5 NaturePhotographicSoc people who died in the boat tragedy in Kaikōura on 10 September.
I wasn’t able to go to Maureen’s funeral as it was private, so seeing Diana’s funeral today, via a link, was particularly poignant. She was such a lovely vibrant person, much loved by her family, and it all shone through today. She was a very accomplished photographer.

The funeral for the other Christchurch NPS photographer who died in the boat tragedy, Peter Hockley, was held this afternoon too.
Three lovely people gone, in an awful accident.
The other two women lived in Lower Hutt and their funerals are later next week.

Many around the world will be tuning into London now, watching the happenings around the Queen’s funeral. I’ll watch as long as my eyes will stay open!
