Sunday Serenity

Shopping at the local large supermarket today turned out to be a miserable experience: empty shelves, hordes of milling people, abandoned shopping carts etc.  So, a calming and peaceful walk through Sheperd Meadows, along the River Blackwater and round the Balancing Pond was called for.

With just a few dog walkers and strolling families about, it was just what I needed, and I even found some Lords-and-Ladies growing on the riverbank to satisfy my Autumn macro urges (extra).
