Longevity

Wow, that was an impressive day. The music at the funeral service was stunning. What a spectacle.

I nipped out early for a quick bike ride before the service. Passing through my favourite part of the forest where there is a clearing of pollarded beech trees. I was struck by the sense of longevity - those trees have been there for generations. How many monarchs have they been there for?
