Goodbye

Like many across the country we were watching the Queen’s funeral today. Many emotions to process but what an amazing display of what she meant to us all as a nation. Kara was napping for most of it but when she woke up I brought her down to watch some of it. She just sat and watch like even she knew the hugeness of the event. Cuddling her little corgi. When they zoomed in to the crown on the coffin she just pointed and didn’t say a word.

Had a walk around town after lunch to get out of the house and just get some air. Almost everything was closed of course. Got stopped by a reporter from the P&J asking us to comment on the funeral and our feelings. Who knows if we’ll be in the paper tomorrow.

Went home and watched Beauty and the Beast (original cartoon version). Forgot how good it was actually (other than the very American accents for people living in France). Kara enjoyed the songs too.
