Understated & symbolic

The ceremony, the organisation, the troops, it was all incredible, but take all that away and it's a family saying farewell, & what really got my attention was the understated wreath on the coffin, from King Charles. Beautifully symbolic, rosemary for remembrance, a sprig of myrtle taken from the shrub grown from a sprig in Queen Elizabeth II's wedding bouquet, an ancient symbol of happiness, & English Oak for strength. I also spotted hydrangea, hypericum, Sedum & roses. All picked from the gardens at Buckingham Palace, Clarence House, or Highgrove. Beautiful!
