Low bridge

Today’s journey took us from Wroxham, the capital of the Broads to Potter Heigham which is famous for having the lowest bridge on the Broads. The bridge height gauge was showing 5 feet 9 inches and our boat needs a clearance of 7 feet so we had no chance of getting under.
We took the chance to do a bit of shopping in Latham’s discount store, had a quick drink in a local hostelry and then had a fish and chip supper on the boat. The weather has been kind so far, it clouded over this afternoon but no rain. The boat has brilliant warm air heating which we’re making good use of.
