Parc de la Brenne

we spent the day at the national park of Brenne , which is close to where we stayed the night at Le Blanc. We visited a few of the étangs but saw the most at lac des Essarts , where the main photo and extras were taken. 
There were more cormorants than I've ever seen in one place and its the first time I've managed to capture one with a fish , albeit at some distance so a fairly cropped photo. Its also the first time I've photographed spoonbills or beaver (see extras) . There was also a decent restaurant at the information centre (Maison du Parc) where we had lunch.
